Ferruginous Flycatcher (Muscicapa ferruginea, immature), migrant, rare in the Philippines
UP Diliman, Quezon City
I managed to squeeze some birding time into the hectic schedule to visit UPD's latest attraction. I was there late in the afternoon and the lighting was very challenging (regretted not waking up early in the morning!). It was a good thing that our avian friend was still there and I got me some shots.
The bird was active when I was there (1700H onwards), moving from one perch to another, hawking insects on the ground or in mid-air. I shot more than 400 images and only a handful were acceptable. Many thanks to Sir Bert and Doc Mando for sharing the location.
